Neil Kramer (writer and speaker) and KMO (host of the C-Realm) are undertaking a spontaneous speaking tour of selected US and Canadian cities. They aim to edify, amuse and inspire audiences on a range of stimulating subjects.

Think transition, think reality tunnels, think singularities, the imaginal landscape, micro and macro sustainability, emergent independent media, models of empowerment and paths to authenticity.

We will be visiting Montreal on December 15th and Ottawa on December 16th.

The Vow of Wealth

By taking the Vow of Wealth,

I decide to welcome and embrace all the Wealth that is given to us, be it in material or immaterial form.

I welcome Wealth as what brings us closer to what is True, Good and Beautiful.

I welcome Wealth as life giving life, and life evolving life, for the great alliance between matter and light.

I commit to build meaningful, generative agreements that lead to harmonious and joyful relationships with my human brothers and sisters and with other living beings.

I commit to offer others what they need for the fulfillment of their life.

I commit to welcome what others offer me for the fulfillment of my life.

I commit to be naked and vulnerable, and to welcome my incompleteness, so I can open myself to receiving from others.

I commit to welcome others’ nakedness and vulnerability, and to welcome their incompleteness. There I find the joy of proposing my gifts.

I will not support whatever keeps living beings separated from Wealth.

I will not support ideologies and acts that degrade abundance into artificial scarcity, for that triggers greed and war.

But rather than fighting against these ideologies and acts, I will tap into the infinite creativity that is given to us at birth. I will be an artist, I will co-create with my fellow brothers and sisters, and new paths will be revealed. The future will not come from my reaction, future will come from my creation. Culture is not your friend. Culture is for other people’s convenience, the convenience of various institutions; churches, companies, tax collection schemes, what have you. It’s not your friend, it insults you. It disempowers you. It uses and abuses you. None of us are well treated by culture.

The culture is a perversion. It fetishizes objects, creates consumer-mania, it preaches endless forms of false happiness, endless forms of false understanding in the form of squirrelly religion and silly cults. It invites people to diminish themselves, and dehumanize themselves by behaving like machines.

How do we fight back?

I think that by creating art… art. Man was not put on this planet to toil in the mud, or the god who put us here on the planet to toil in the mud is no god I want to have any part of. Its some kind of Gnostic Demon, its some kind of cannibalistic demiurge that should be thoroughly renounced and rejected. Description: In the early 1990s, the Cuban population was faced with painful shortages of oil and other goods after the collapse of the Soviet Union and the tightening of the U.S. embargo. What happened to Cuba at that time is not only a case study for what is in store for the rest of us on the down-slope of the fossil fuel era, but also an inspiring example of what communities can do to live a more localized, ecological and healthy society, even in the face of climate change and the current financial meltdown.

Unitarian Church Film Presentation: "Hijacked Future" (film and discussion in English) at Coop la Maison Verte

Eating breakfast toast: a simple ritual to start the day. The bread probably came from a bakery or a grocery store, but beyond that who knows where the wheat came from - never mind the seeds that grew the wheat. Do we need to know? "Hijacked Future" says yes, because those seeds that became the toast you ate this morning are being hijacked - right into a looming world food security catastrophe.

A short introduction to birding in the Arboretum with some tips and hints about some of the birds we might see, selecting and using field guides, choosing and using binoculars and what to look and listen for in the forest.
